Welcome

As per the directions of Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab vide letter no. F.No. 14/18/11-3Edu1/1580341/1 dated 23/09/2019, that after exhausting the admission through CET, if seats in the B.Ed colleges remain vacant, the candidates who are eligible for admission in two year B.Ed course as per NCTE guidelines but are not CET qualified may apply to the coordinating University through online applications as per the schedule to be prescribed by the coordinating University in consultation with all other affiliating Universities. The merit will be prepared by the coordinating University on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates will be allowed to select the college of their choice on the basis of this merit though the candidate who has qualified the CET would be given preference.


Eligibility for Admission to B.Ed. for Non-CET Candidates

A person who possesses the following qualifications shall be eligible to join the course:
     
  • Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in Bachelor's degree and/or in the Master's degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce/Home Science/ B.B.A/ B.C.A, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less than 45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible.
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. However, while calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less than 50% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible.
  • Candidates should have passed Graduation/Post-Graduation in a relevant school subject.
  • A candidate getting admission on the basis of Post graduate degree shall have to opt for one of teaching subjects pursued by him/her at Master degree.
 
Merit List will be prepared on the basis of Qualifying Examination i.e. Graduation.
 
 
STEPS TO FOLLOW :

  1. Register Online. [last date for registration: October 15, 2019 (Tuesday)]
  2. Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
  3. Login and upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form). [last date for completion of form: October 15, 2019 (Tuesday)]
  4. Download and print Physical Counselling Form using login id & password, after the availability of merit list. [merit list date: October 16, 2019]
  5. Attend Physical Counselling according to the schedule available on the website. Bring your requisite documents and Physical Counselling Form. [Physical Counselling Schedule date: October 16, 2019 by 6:00 p.m.]
